The multi-currency World Currency Card™ can be used to pay for goods and services, or to withdraw local currency from ATMs worldwide – anywhere you see the MasterCard® acceptance mark. Your card can be loaded with any combination of the 17 currencies available or just one – whatever best suits your business travels.

The innovative My Account portal and World Currency Card™ mobile application gives you the flexibility and freedom to view your multi-currency World Currency Card™ balance, to allocate funds across your various currency purses, and view any recent transactions.

Note: The World Currency Card™ can only be used outside the Common Monetary Area, being South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland and Namibia. In addition, there may be some other countires or geographical regions where usage of the World Currency Card™ is prohibited.

How does it work?

You can load up to 17 currencies onto your card. Cutting-edge technology means your card automatically knows which currency to use depending on where you are in the world.

Expert Tip: Always choose to pay in the local currency – for example, use Euros in Spain or Dollars in the United States – to avoid paying a currency conversion fee. This is subject to sufficient funds being available.

Order your MasterCard® World Currency Card™ in any Bidvest Bank Branch.

How do I manage my card and currency purses?

By downloading the mobile app or logging in to MyAccount online, you can register your prepaid business card, view your balances and view all your recent transactions. Please note that your employer can only reload currencies at a Bidvest Branch.

What if I run out of a certain currency?

If you run out of a certain currency, you can transfer fund between currency purses yourself or the World Currency Card™ can automatically use funds from the purse of another currency on the same card. Note that if this is the case, there will be a currency conversion fee involved. You can organise this through the mobile app or by logging in to My Account online.

What if my card gets lost or stolen?

Call our Card Services on 0800 982 679 and we’ll deliver a replacement card to where you are. If this isn’t possible, we can get emergency cash to you via a participating emergency cash provider (subject to availability of service and sufficient funds available on your card).
